Ranking the top players that entered the transfer portal on Friday

The floodgates opened. Monday was the first day players were able to enter the transfer portal without penalty. As of Friday at 9:45 PM EST, over 500 players have submitted their names to the transfer portal since Monday morning. The transfer portal will remain open for 60 days for non-graduate, one-time transfers to enter without penalty.

2023 On3 Transfer Portal Rankings

Graduate transfers have been able to enter the portal without penalty as soon as their season ends. Just over 100 players entered in the last week.

To help navigate things some, here are the top players that entered the transfer portal on Friday, March 17.

Notes: Taran Armstrong is originally from Tasmania, Australia. Out of the NBA Global Academy, Armstrong chose Cal Baptist over Rutgers. He was last year’s WAC Rookie of the Year and second-team All-WAC this season.

Notes: Dontrez Styles is originally from Kinston, North Carolina, and played for the Team CP3 travel program on Nike’s EYBL Circuit. The 6-foot-6 forward chose UNC over other offers that included NC State, Maryland, Texas A&M, and others. Styles was the No. 62 player in the 2021 On3 Industry Ranking.
