Rashad Amos is set to test the transfer portal waters once again.

The Mississippi State transfer commit and former Miami (Ohio) running back is expected to visit Colorado this week, a source tells On3. He committed to the Bulldogs earlier this month after a months-long recruitment.

The former South Carolina transfer played in 13 games with the Gamecocks but had a breakout year in 2023 with the RedHawks. The 6-foot-2, 234-pound running back rushed for 1,075 yards and 13 touchdowns. He ranked third in the Mid-American Conference in rushing yards and second in rushing touchdowns.

The Buffaloes picked up a commitment earlier today from Ohio State transfer running back Dallan Hayden.

Amos was one of the top available running backs in the portal before his commitment to Mississippi State. The third-team All-MAC selection filled a position of need for the Bulldogs. Jo’Quavious “Woody” Marks transferred during the winter portal window, landing at USC. Marks tallied 3,108 scrimmage yards and 27 touchdowns in four seasons at Mississippi State.

Landing Amos was a major offseason addition for Jeff Lebby. MiamiOle MissUCFUtah and Virginia were other programs intially for the running back. With the NCAA allowing multi-time transfers to play immediately next season without securing a waiver, the running back can explore his options.

A former three-star recruit, Amos rushed for over 100 yards in four games this past season. He had a career-high 180 rushing yards on 33 carries against Appalachian State in the Cure Bowl. During his time with the Gamecocks, he totaled 106 yards rushing on 20 carries. Rashad Amos also rushed for two touchdowns in the MAC championship game, defeating Toledo.
