RB Rodney Hill re-enters the NCAA Transfer Portal
Running back Rodney Hill has entered his name back into the transfer portal again.
Hill has spent the offseason bouncing around programs in the portal after spending the past two seasons at Florida State. After leaving the Seminoles, he has since committed to Florida A&M, decommitted from the Rattlers, committed to Miami, and then rejoined Florida A&M. Now, after all that over the past three months or so, he is once again transferring elsewhere.
Hill appeared in 16 games with FSU the last two seasons, including a dozen last fall as a redshirt freshman. In total, he has rushed for 334 yards and a pair of scores on 77 career carries.
In 2023, Hill rushed 50 times for 190 yards and a score. That was the fourth-most carries for the Seminoles for the third-most rushing yards. He also caught five passes for 83 yards, which averaged out to one of the best numbers on the team at 16.6 yards per reception.
Hill, a native of Statesboro, Georgia, played high school football at Bulloch Academy. He was a three-star prospect and the No. 506 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle. That’s according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also rated as the No. 38 RB in the class and the No. 50 player out of his state.
Hill is the No. 1,088 overall transfer per On3’s 2024 Transfer Portal Top Players. Those same rankings have him as the No. 94 RB from the portal.
Hill has been committed to three different programs, all in the state of Florida, over the last four months. That could now be a fourth, if not a return to one of the previous trio at this point, with his decision to reenter the portal.
