Report: Filip Borovicanin plans to enter the transfer portal
Arizona forward Filip Borovicanin is reportedly planning to enter the transfer portal.
Jeff Goodman shared the news of Borovicanin’s expected departure from Tucson on Twitter after sources spoke to those at The Field of 68.
Borovicanin spent the past two years with the Wildcats. In his 34 games with the program, he averaged 1.9 points and 1.3 rebounds in under five minutes per game.
Borovicanin hails from Belgrade, Serbia. He played for KK Beko in his hometown where he posted averages of 20 points, nine rebounds and four assists. He also competed for his home country in the FIBA U19 World Cup in Hungary where he averaged 14.1 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.3 steals in seven outings with the team.
If Borovicanin does eventually enter, he will be the first loss in the portal for the team of the cycle. Arizona has not added any transfers for next season to this point either, especially since their season ended just a few days ago in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament against Clemson.

Riley Kugel commits to transfer to Kansas
Riley Kugel, a former shooting guard for Florida, has committed to transfer to Kansas.
Kugel announced the decision on social media.
In two seasons at Florida, Kugel played in 65 games, starting in 28 of them. For his career, he is averaging 9.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game. He’s also shooting 42.3% from the field during the course of his college career.
Kugel played his high school basketball at Dr. Phillips in Orlando, Florida. He was a four-star recruit in the class of 2022 according to the On3 Industry Ranking. He was also the 10th-ranked shooting guard and the 72nd-ranked player nationally in that cycle.
Prior to committing to transfer to Kansas, Kugel trimmed his list of transfer destinations down to Arizona, UConn, Houston, and Kansas. Along with the Jayhawks, that’s a list that included two of this season’s NCAA Tournament one-seeds as well as a two-seed.
