Former Stanford tight end Ben Yurosek has scratched a couple more visits off his list. On Monday, ESPN’s Pete Thamel provided an update on the coveted talent’s recruitment.

“Former Stanford tight end Ben Yurosek tells ESPN he visited Georgia this weekend and has a visit scheduled to Texas,” Thamel wrote on X. “He’s one of the most talented and productive tight ends in the portal, as he has 108 career receptions for 1,342 yards.”

After posting a pair of promising seasons in 2021 and 2022, Yurostrek struggled in the 2023 campaign. In 2021 and 2022, Yurosek collected 90 combined catches for more than 1,000 yards. However, Yurosek failed to break the 20 catches and 250-yard mark in 2023, playing in only six games due to injuries.

With size, experience and a decent recruiting backdrop, it’s no surprise Yurosek is a highly sought-after commodity in the portal. Now, the California native is a couple steps closer to making his decision.

Yurosek played high school football at Bakersfield Christian (Calif.) High School, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 447 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
