Report: Texas A&M transfer WR Jordan Anthony commits to Arkansas
Former Texas A&M wide receiver Jordan Anthony is reportedly taking his talents to Arkansas via the transfer portal, according to Pete Thamel of ESPN.
“Former Texas A&M wide receiver Jordan Anthony is transferring to Arkansas, per the A&P Agency. He also plans to run track at Arkansas,” Thamel posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Anthony played sparingly for the Aggies during the 2023 season, appearing in two games and finishing the season with three receptions for 14 yards. He previously played football and ran track & field at Kentucky, where he was a first-team All-American in the latter.
As Thamel mentioned, Anthony is expected to return to track & field in Fayetteville, where he’ll play both sports for the Razorbacks.
Moreover, the wide receiver did not log any stats during his lone season at Kentucky due to using his redshirt, but came into the program with the reputation of being one of the fastest athletes in the country, regardless of sport. He proved his worth on the track and is labeled as one of the best track stars in the sport.
Anthony played high school football at Tylertown (MS) High School, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 345 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services.
