Raleek Brown, who just finished his second season at USC, entered the transfer portal at the opening of the window. Now, the former Top-75 recruit has scheduled his first visit to another school that was formerly of the Pac-12.

Per Luca Evans of the O.C. Register, Brown has set up a visit to Arizona State for this weekend. With no return to the Trojans on the table, he will take a look in Tempe to see if the Sun Devils will be his next home.

Brown played in all 14 of USC’s games as a true freshman in 2022. In that season, he caught 16 passes for 175 yards and three touchdowns. However, he played primarily as a running back that year. In his 42 carries, he went for 227 yards, good for 5.4 per touch, and three more scores.

Then, in 2023, he saw little action with just three catches on the year for 18 yards in his return to the receiver position. He only rushed three times as well for 16 yards and an additional score.

Brown played high school football at Mater Dei (CA) where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 69 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ended up as the No. 8 WR in his class as well as the No. 5 player out of the state of California.

A transfer to a new location could mean that, regardless of who earns his services, the program could be earning the commitment from a running back rather than a receiver. Either way, though, he’ll be an offensive weapon for some unit to get to attack with.

With few opportunities this season in Los Angeles, a move to the Big 12 with Arizona State could be a nice fit for Brown. That will all depend on how this weekend goes when he gets his feet on the ground in Arizona.
