South Carolina transfer safety Kajuan Banks commits to South Florida
South Carolina transfer safety Kajuan Banks committed to the South Florida Bulls on Friday night. He announced the move on his Twitter page.
In two seasons with the Gamecocks, Banks tallied 14 tackles, two pass breakups, and one interception.
He graduated from Amos P. Godby High School (Tallahassee, Florida) in 2022. His senior year, Banks tallied 69 tackles and nine tackles for loss. He also racked up two interceptions, two fumble recoveries, and four pass breakups in 10 games. In 2020, the Florida native played both safety and cornerback and returned kicks. He also helped propel the Chargers to the 5A state playoffs his junior year.
A dynamic athlete, he competed in track and field as a sprinter and also played basketball in high school. Banks was a regional qualifier in the 200-meter dash his junior year. He was ranked as a three-star prospect and the No. 657 overall recruit in the country, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.
