After entering the NCAA transfer portal, former Ole Miss tight end Kyirin Heath has committed and signed to play at Southern Miss.

Heath appeared in all 12 games of his true freshman season with the Rebels, playing in 112 snaps between special teams and tight end but recording zero stats. In 2023 he made seven game appearances for Ole Miss, recording four catches for 60 yards. After two seasons in Oxford, Heath will stay in the state and take his talents to Hattiesburg, joining a Southern Miss team that’s coming off of a disappointing three-win season in the Sun Belt.

Heath played high school football at Mansfield (TX) Mansfield Legacy, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 979 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
