Stanford tight end Ben Yurosek enters NCAA Transfer Portal
Stanford tight end Ben Yurosek is in the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3 has learned. He will have one year of eligibility remaining.
Yurosek struggled in 2023 after posting a pair of promising seasons in 2021 and 2022. After more than 90 combined catches for more than 1000 yards the past two seasons, Yurosek failed to break 20 and the 250 yard mark in 2023, playing in only six games due to injuries.
With size, experience and a decent recruiting backdrop, Yurosek should be a fairly sought-after commodity in the portal. Whether or not he wants to stay on the west coast could be a major factor in his decision.
Yurosek played high school football at Bakersfield Christian (Calif.) High School, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 447 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Yurosek’s grandfather, Mike, a northern California farmer, is also credited with creating the baby carrot.
