Syracuse wide receiver Damien Alford has withdrawn from NCAA transfer portal
Syracuse wide receiver Damien Alford‘s quest for a new home has just ended. According to On3’s Matt Zenitz, Alford has withdrawn his name from the NCAA transfer portal.
Last season for the Orange, the sophomore wideout had 20 catches for 429 yards this season. Still, after proving himself to be a legitimate deep threat, Alford thought it wise to enter the transfer portal. But after just one day in, he is removing his name and heading back to Syracuse.
Alford played high school football at Hollywood (Fla) McArthur, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 666 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Track transfer portal activity
The NCAA Transfer Portal, which covers every NCAA sport at the Division I, II and III levels, is a private database with names of student-athletes who wish to transfer. It is not accessible to the public.
While the NCAA transfer portal database is private, the On3 Network has streamlined the reporting process tracking player movement.
