Florida State sophomore forward Taylor Bol Bowen plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal after two seasons with the Seminoles.

The 6-foot-10, 195-pounder is coming off a strong sophomore campaign, where he averaged 9 points and 5.6 rebounds per contest and was a full-time starter in his second season. As a freshman, he played in all 31 games, averaging 3.1 points and 2.6 rebounds.

This season, he shot better than 40 percent from three and notched seven double-figure scoring performances in the team’s first 20 games.

His decision comes after news broke in early February that head coach Leonard Hamilton was stepping down from his role on the bench at the end of the season. Bol Bowen will have two years of eligibility remaining at his next destination.

As a recruit, he was one of the nation’s most coveted prospects in the Class of 2023. According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Bol Bowen was the nation’s No. 69 overall recruit and No. 11 power forward.

Coming out of powerhouse Brewster Academy, he chose the ‘Noles over offers from Providence, USC, UConn and a number of other high-major programs.
