Tennessee EDGE Tyler Baron flips commitment from Ole Miss to Louisville
Tennessee EDGE Tyler Baron has flipped his transfer portal commitment from Ole Miss to Louisville, he announced on social media.
Landing Baron caps off Louisville landing three portal pickups from the Volunteers; the Cardinals already landed safeties Wesley Walker and Tamarion McDonald. With over 1,500 snaps of experience and 47 career games, it’s another major portal pickup for Louisville.
Baron finished this past season with 28 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss and six sacks. He also defended two passes, had one fumble recovery and scored a touchdown. A four-star prospect and the No. 111 overall recruit in the 2020 class, he has one year of eligibility remaining an can play immediately.
Louisville currently ranks No. 2 in the On3’s Team Transfer Portal Index, sitting behind only Colorado. Baron and McDonald have both now flipped from the Rebels to Cardinals.
