Purdue transfer TE Garrett Miller commits to Texas A&M

Texas A&M has landed a commitment from an offensive playmaker out of the transfer portal. Former Purdue tight end Garrett Miller has committed to the Aggies.

Miller announced his decision on Twitter Tuesday morning, simply posting: “Gig ‘em #Committed.”

Garrett Miller caught 30 passes for 243 yards and two touchdowns for the Boilermakers this season as Purdue finished 4-8 in Year 1 under Ryan Walters.

Now Miller will be playing for another coach who is in his first year at a new school in Mike Elko. The former Duke head coach was hired at Texas A&M last month.

Miller is transferring to Texas A&M after spending five years at Purdue. He signed with the Boilermakers as a three-star recruit in the class of 2019 and played in four games his first year in West Lafayette.

Miller played in all six games and made one start in 2020 during the season that was shortened due to COVID-19. He caught two passes for 48 yards and a touchdown that year.

In 2021, Miller caught 19 passes for 165 yards while appearing in 11 games, with four starts. He missed all of last season with an injury, before returning to have his most productive year yet in 2023.
