Former Texas A&M cornerback Tony Grimes is on the move again, just days after announcing a commitment to Michigan State out of the NCAA transfer portal.

Grimes tweeted Sunday that he has flipped his commitment to UNLV from Michigan State, noting he has “locked it” with the Runnin’ Rebels.

The former high-profile recruit spent only one season with Texas A&M, failing to play a signle down as an injury lingered and kept him off the field.

He spent three years prior to his time in College Station with North Carolina, where he begann his career. In three years with the Tar Heels, Grimes racked up 97 total tackles, 3.5 for a loss, along with 19 pass deflections, one interception and one forced fumble.

Prior to his time in Chapel Hill, Tony Grimes played at Princess Anne High School in Virginia Beach, where he was a five-star recruit in the 2020 class, per the On3 Industry Rankings. He was also rated the No. 19 overall prospect and the No. 3 cornerback in his cycle.
