Texas A&M TE Jake Johnson intends to enter NCAA transfer portal

Texas A&M tight end Jake Johnson intends to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal. He announced his intention via social media on Wednesday.

Johnson played in 17 games across two seasons with the Aggies, totaling 25 catches for 237 yards and four touchdowns.

As a recruit, he was the No. 74 overall prospect in the 2022 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranked as the nation’s No. 1 tight end and the No. 7 recruit in Georgia.
