Toledo transfer offensive lineman Vinny Sciury commits to Texas Tech

After entering the NCAA transfer portal, former Toledo offensive lineman Vinny Sciury has committed to Texas Tech, according to a post from his Instagram account.

Sciury spent the first four years of his college career with Toledo, earning First-Team All-MAC honors in 2023 following a stellar season with the Rockets. He was regarded as one of the top interior offensive linemen in the transfer portal for the 2023 class, rated the No. 4 IOL in the portal according to On3’s 2024 College Football Transfer Portal. PFF ranked Sciury as the 12th best pass blocker in college football in 2023 with a 89.4 grade.

Sciury played high school football at Perry (OH) High School, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 2,176 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services.
