Transfer portal: Ranking the top players that entered on Monday
The college basketball transfer portal has been open for exactly three weeks, and already there are over 1,200 names. The season ends tonight as UConn will take on San Diego State in the National Championship game.
We are currently in the middle of the March 30-April 6 dead period, only to be followed by an April 10-13 dead period. A recruiting dead period is when college coaches are not permitted to have any in-person contact with recruits and/or their parents.
2023 On3 Transfer Portal Rankings
While there were only 36 players who entered the portal today – as of 8:30 PM EST – the quality of the 36 was fairly high, including the current No. 2 overall in Oral Roberts grad transfer point guard Max Abmas.
The window for players to submit their names into the portal will be open for 60 days from March 13, the day the portal opened. To help navigate things some, here are the top players that entered the transfer portal on Monday, April 3.
