Starting on March 13, non-graduate, first-time transfers were able to enter the transfer portal without penalty. As of 9:30 PM EST on Wednesday, over 1,050 players have already submitted their names. The window for players to submit their names into the portal without penalty will last for 60 days, starting from the March 13 date.

The Final Four of the 2023 NCAA Tournament will be played this weekend. And the NIT Championship is on Thursday. While the portal is starting to heat up, things are really just getting started. Last year over 1,700 players entered their names into the NCAA D-I transfer portal. We are already more than halfway there.
