Tulane QB Kai Horton enters the transfer portal
Tulane QB Kai Horton has entered the transfer portal.
Horton, the Green Waves’ backup, just completed his third season with the program as a redshirt sophomore. In total, he played in 11 games where he went 52-104 (50%) for 738 yards, six touchdowns, and five interceptions.
That includes a pair of starts this season in place of Michael Pratt where he went 27-56 (48.2%) for 417 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception against Ole Miss and Southern Miss.
Horton played high school football at Carthage (TX) where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 1,103 overall recruit in the 2021 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He finished as a Top-100 QB as well as a Top-200 player out of the state of Texas.
