UCF lands commitment from former Florida, Texas Tech linebacker Jesiah Pierre
Former Texas Tech and Florida linebacker Jesiah Pierre has committed to UCF as a transfer, he announced on social media on Friday. He will have one year of eligibility remaining.
A Florida native, Pierre shared his excited to return to his home state for his last year.
“I’m back home!! Let’s get to work Knights nation!!” he said on social media.
Pierre spent two seasons at Florida, redshirting one season and appearing in 13 games during his time there. He then spent the following three seasons at Texas Tech, where he appeared in 34 games making 133 tackles. He had five sacks and a pass defensed during his time at linebacker in Lubbock, too. He’ll bring a veteran hand to the middle of the UCF defense.
Pierre played high school football at Mount Dora (Florida) Christian Academy, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 670 overall recruit in the 2019 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
