UCLA OL Spencer Holstege enters NCAA Transfer Portal
UCLA and former Purdue offensive lineman Spencer Holstege has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3 has learned. He is in as a grad transfer and will have one year of eligibility remaining.
Holstege played in 32 games at Purdue, starting 31. He redshirted in 2019 and played in six games in 2020 but didn’t use a year of eligibility due to the Covid-19 pandemic. He then started 26 games for Purdue across the next two seasons, including on the 2022 team that played in the Big Ten Championship Game. He earned All-Big Ten honorable mention that year.
In one season at UCLA, Holstege played in all 13 games for the Bruins, including the bowl on Dec. 16, a win in the LA Bowl.
Holstege played high school football at Grand Rapids South Christian (Mich.) High School, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 1462 overall recruit in the 2019 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
