Former UCLA Bruins quarterback Dante Moore has committed to transfer to the Oregon Ducks.

Dante Moore was one of the most highly notable transfers this cycle. He was considered one of the best available quarterbacks despite only coming off his freshman season. That’s largely because he was one of the most highly-touted quarterback recruits in the country last year.

A member of the Class of 2023, Moore was a five-star recruit out of Detroit (Mich.) Martin Luther King, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 1 overall prospect in the state, the No. 2 quarterback in the class, and the No. 3 overall prospect in the class.

This season, Dante Moore played in nine games but struggled with his consistency. He completed 53.5 percent of his passes for 1,610 yards and 11 touchdowns. However, he also threw nine interceptions.

Notably, Oregon also recently added veteran quarterback Dillon Gabriel in the transfer portal. Gabriel, who is going into his sixth season of college football, was most recently the two-year starter at Oklahoma. Now, he will share a quarterback room with an incredibly high-upside young quarterback in Dante Moore.
