Louisiana-Monroe, former Texas Longhorn linebacker Trevell Johnson enters NCAA transfer Portal

Former Texas Longhorns linebacker Trevell Johnson is on the move again. After transferring to the University of Louisiana-Monroe following the conclusion of the 2022 season, the now sophomore linebacker has elected to jump into the NCAA Transfer Portal in hopes of finding a new home for the 2024 season.

With the Warhawks, Johnson hardly saw the field playing in just two games. The Arlington, TX, native saw action against Appalachian State and South Alabama. In those two games, Johnson recorded just two total tackles.

Johnson played high school football at Martin High in Arlington, TX, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 469 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
