UNLV forward Keylan Boone is expected to enter the transfer portal as a graduate transfer, according to Jeff Goodman of The Field of 68. He’ll take advantage of the recent rule where the NCAA has provided an extra year to anyone that was deemed ineligible to compete any portion of a season.

Before joining UNLV, he spent one year with Pacific and three years with the Oklahoma State Cowboys. He played in 80 career game with the Cowboys, starting 10 of those.

In 2022-2023 with Pacific, Boone scored a team-leading 13.9 points per game, shooting 47.7% from the field. He also managed to drill 41% of his three-pointers. Boone stuffed the stat sheet with 4.2 rebounds per game. In 27 games with the Tigers, he started 20 of those, scoring in double figures in 20 games. Five of those games he pumped in 20 points or more and Boone also erupted for a career-high of 30 against the San Diego Toreros.

In the 2021-2022 campaign with Oklahoma State, Boone played in 27 games, stuffing the stat sheet with 6.0 points per game, while adding 3.3 rebounds per game. He also pumped in what was at the time, a career-high of 17 points off the bench in his team’s win over No. 14 Texas. That was one of the five games that Boone happened to score in double digits.

In the 2020-2021 campaign with the Cowboys, Boone posted his first career double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds in a win over UT Arlington. He also managed to corral 12 rebounds in a win over Oral Roberts, making him just one of four Oklahoma State players that season with two double-digit rebound games. In the 2021 NCAA Tournament against Liberty, Boone posted a season-high of 13 points.

As a freshman with OSU in 2019-2020, he shot 34.3% on three-pointers, ranking second on the team. Boone’s season-high of 11 points came against Oral Roberts.

Boone played his high school basketball for Memorial High School (Edmond, Oklahoma), where he enjoyed a prolific career on the hardwood. The forward stuffed the stat sheet with 18.1 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.6 steals as a senior.

He helped guide Memorial High to three straight Oklahoma Class 5A state titles. His senior year, he was scorching hot, shooting 60% from the field, including 49% from three-point range and 84% on his free throws. A dominant force on the hardwood, he guided the Chargers to an impressive record of 77-8 during his final three years there.
