Vanderbilt OL Junior Uzebu enters NCAA Transfer Portal.
The Vanderbilt Commodores have just lost another player. On Thursday, On3 learned that offensive lineman and former West Virginia Mountaineer Junior Uzebu has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal.
In Uzebu’s first two seasons of his collegiate career at West Virginia, the Georgia native would play in just three games, earning one start From 2019-2021. After the conclusion of the 2021 season, he will then hop into the transfer portal, landing at Vanderbilt. With the Commodores, Uzebu played in 18 games in three years. He saw the most action last season, his senior year, in 2022. There, Uzebu played in 12 games and had five starts to his name. This year, Uzebu started the season as the starting right tackle. Unfortunately, a lower-body injury would keep him sidelined for the remainder of this season. Uzebu Played in just one game in 2023: the Commodore season opener against Hawaii.
Uzebu played high school football at Alpharetta High in Alpharetta, GA, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 531 overall recruit in the 2018 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
