Vanderbilt Commodores tight end Justin Ball has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal.

Justin Ball has been with the Commodores since 2019. He didn’t play as a freshman, but starting in the 2020 season became a key piece of the Vanderbilt offense. He played in 38 games, including every game of the last two seasons. During that time, he snagged 22 receptions for 204 yards and a touchdown from the tight end position. That touchdown came during the 2023 season.

Justin Ball played high school football at Gonzaga (DC), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 1,707 overall recruit in the 2019 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

In 2020, Justin Ball was on the SEC Academic Honor Roll. He would be on the Fall Academic Honor Roll as well in 2022. Then, in 2023, Ball was a team captain, starting all 12 games. His father played football at Maryland, local to where Ball grew up.
