Virginia EDGE Olasunkonmi Agunloye enters NCAA transfer portal

Virginia EDGE Olasunkonmi Agunloye has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned. Agunloye appeared in only one game this season as he suffered a season-ending injury during the opener against Tennessee.

He is in the portal as a grad transfer.

Olasunkonmi Agunloye had half a sack and recovered a fumble against the Vols. He was then injured while celebrating. You can watch the unfortunate injury below:

Olasunkonmi Agunloye signed with Virginia as a three-star recruit and the No. 65 EDGE in the class of 2020, according to the On3 Industry rankings. He appeared in two games as a true freshman, finishing with four tackles.

In 2021, Agunloye played in nine games while making one start. He had 10 tackles, including half a tackle for loss.

Agunloye’s best season came in 2022 when he appeared in 10 games, recording two tackles for loss and a sack for the Cavaliers.

He was off to an excellent start to the 2023 season, before going down in the opener for Virginia.
