Virginia guard Isaac McKneely plans to enter NCAA Transfer Portal

Virginia junior guard Isaac McKneely is entering the NCAA Transfer Portal after three seasons with the Cavaliers.

The 6’4 guard by way of Poca (W.V.) played in 97 career games over those three years, averaging 10.9 points and 2.6 rebounds per contest. His best season came in 2024-25 though, where he was the ‘Hoos leading scorer at 14.0 points per game. McKneely also shot 41% from behind the arc on just over 7 attempts per game.

He signed with Virginia as a top-75 national recruit in the Class of 2022 under former head coach Tony Bennett. But with Bennett’s abrupt departure before the season, he is now looking for a new home for his final year of eligibility.

McKneely will have one year of eligibility left at his next stop.
