Virginia LB Jonathan Horton enters the NCAA Transfer Portal
Virginia linebacker Jonathan Horton has entered the transfer portal.
Horton spent four seasons with the Cavaliers, tallying 19 appearances. He failed to start at Virginia. Horton recorded five total tackles and two forced fumbles while at Virginia.
Horton joins two other seniors that publicly announced their intentions to enter the portal since the end of the season: Sam Brady and Jestus Johnson announced earlier.
Horton played high school football at Baton Rouge (La.) Scotlandville Magnet, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 249 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
“I’m grateful to the University of Virginia for providing me with an opportunity,” Horton wrote. “That being said, I’ve officially entered the transfer portal with two years of eligibility.”
