Virginia OT Blake Steen plans to enter NCAA transfer portal

Virginia offensive tackle Blake Steen plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, according to On3’s Pete Nakos. He’s started 17 career games.
Steen will now explore his options in the portal with some eligibility remaining. For what it’s worth, his older brother Tyler, who plays for the Philadelphia Eagles, played for Vanderbilt and Alabama.
As a member of the Class of 2022, Steen was a three-star recruit out of Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 246 overall prospect in the state, the No. 153 offensive tackle in the class and the No. 1,785 overall prospect in the class.

Blake Steen latest in Virginia transfer movement
Steen is the latest transfer movement for Virginia. Back in January, the Cavaliers landed a solid player in WR Jayden Thomas (Notre Dame).
Thomas finished the 2024 season with 18 catches for 167 yards, two touchdowns and 9.3 yards per catch. Over the course of his career, Thomas has 64 catches for 838 yards, seven touchdowns and 13.1 yards per catch.
As a member of the Class of 2021, Thomas was a three-star recruit out of Atlanta (Ga.) Pace Academy, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 37 overall prospect in the state, the No. 63 wide receiver in the class and the No. 440 overall prospect in the class.
