Virginia Cavaliers running back Cody Brown has entered the NCAA transfer portal.

Cody Brown previously transferred to Virginia. He played for another ACC school, the Miami Hurricanes. However, he didn’t see the field in 2023 for Virginia after playing two games for the Cavaliers during the 2022 season after struggling with injury issues. In three total seasons, he’s played in 14 games for 139 yards and three touchdowns. However, most of that production was with Miami.

Cody Brown played high school football at Parkview, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 249 overall recruit in the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Whatever team lands Cody Brown is going to land a running back with two years of eligibility and plenty of upside moving forward. However, the big question for Brown to answer at his next school is whether or not he’s going to be able to stay healthy enough to live up to that excellent potential.
