Washington CB Vincent Nunley enters NCAA transfer portal
Washington cornerback Vincent Nunley has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned. Just wrapping up his third season with the program, Nunley will look for a new home beginning in the 2024 season.
Nunley is a redshirt sophomore and will have at least two years of eligibility remaining. During his time in Seattle, the defensive back saw action in seven games, six of which came this season. He recorded 16 tackles, defended two passes, and recorded an interception vs. Arizona.
In just under a month’s time, Washington will play in a College Football Playoff matchup against Texas from the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans. With his name being entered in the portal, Nunley seemingly does not fit into the plans for the game.
The Huskies will have to rely on other cornerback depth when matching up against a good Texas receiving corps.
Nunley played high school football at Oakley (CA) Freedom, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 1,297 overall recruit in the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
