Washington RB Tybo Rogers plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal
Washington running back Tybo Rogers plans to enter the transfer portal.
Rogers shared his intention to enter his name into the portal in a post on social media on Thursday.
Rogers just completed his freshman season with the Huskies this past fall.
During the year, Rogers rushed 44 times for 184 yards. That was good for the second-most carries and the third-most yards on the ground for the team but he was one of the only backs on the roster who didn’t find the endzone in 2023.
Most of Rogers’ production came during their 41-7 victory at Michigan State this season. He led the team in rushing against the Spartans as he posted 15 carries for 74 yards.
Rogers played high school football at Bakersfield (CA) where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 862 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He finished as a Top-75 RB in the class and a Top-100 player out of the state of California.
Rogers will be the 23rd transfer out of the program this cycle and the latest since the coaching change from Kalen DeBoer to Jedd Fisch. He is the first running back to exit amongst 14 transfers from the offense.
