Washington transfer wide receiver Taeshaun Lyons officially found his home in the transfer portal on Thursday evening. He committed to the Utah Utes. Lyons made the announcement on his Twitter page.

He didn’t log any stats in his freshman year for the Huskies.

Taeshaun Lyons played high school football at Tennyson (CA) School, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 223 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

As a recruit, Lyons had interest from a number of major Power Five programs, such as the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Miami Hurricanes. It remains to be seen whether or not they come calling again now that he’s in the transfer portal.

Utah quarterback Cam Rising announced he will return to the Utes for the 2024 campaign this offseason. He’s one of the most explosive dual threat quarterbacks in the country and the Utes figure to be a contender for the College Football Playoff because of him.
