Washington wide receiver Germie Bernard plans to enter the Transfer Portal
Washington Huskies wide receiver Germie Bernard plans to enter the Transfer Portal, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.
This is Germie Bernard’s second time entering the transfer portal. He started his career at Michigan State where he played one season before he transferred to Washington for one season. He initially signed a National Letter of Intent with Washington before the Huskies released him from it and he enrolled with Michigan State.
In the end, he spent one season with the Huskies, which saw Washington win the Pac-12, go to the College Football Playoff, and win the Sugar Bowl. However, his role was largely overshadowed by the other elite wide receivers on the offense. Still, Germie Bernard did have 34 receptions for 419 receiving yards and four total touchdowns in 14 games.
Germie Bernard played high school football at Liberty (NV), where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 197 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
