Western Kentucky offensive lineman Quantavious Leslie withdraws from NCAA transfer portal
One of the top players available in the NCAA transfer portal had decided to withdraw his name, with Western Kentucky offensive lineman Quantavious Leslie pulling out.
Leslie was ranked as the No. 6 interior offensive lineman available in the portal as of Jan. 30.
Most predictions for Leslie out of the NCAA transfer portal had centered on Florida State and Mississippi State, but both of those programs will now have to look elsewhere for an additional talent infusion along the offensive line.
Leslie was a three-year starter at left guard for the Hilltoppers before he entered the NCAA transfer portal this winter. He’s a quality piece who routinely grades out highly in the advanced analytics services.
He would have been a quality addition for a Power Five program had he gone through with his move in the transfer portal. Instead he’ll return to anchoring Western Kentucky’s interior offensive line in 2024.
Leslie has picked up a handful of recognitions throughout his career. He was named to the 2021 PFF College All-CUSA First Team, as well as the 2021 All-Conference USA Second Team.

In 2022, Leslie was on the Outland Trophy watch list before the season began, while he finished as a 2022 Conference USA honorable mention selection.
Quantavious Leslie did not appear on the 2023 postseason All-Conference USA squads.
Western Kentucky has been hit hard by the NCAA transfer portal this offseason, so retaining Leslie is a huge help for the program. Already this offseason 20 players have entered the NCAA transfer portal.
Among those 20 players, only one was granted a four-star rating in the transfer portal, though, with offensive lineman Vincent Murphy earning those honors. Murphy was an honorable mention All-CUSA selection in 2023.
Meanwhile, the Hilltoppers have welcomed in six players via the portal, including the high-profile addition for former Auburn, LSU and Texas State quarterback TJ Finley.
