Western Kentucky wide receiver Blue Smith enters transfer portal
Western Kentucky Hilltoppers wide receiver Blue Smith has entered the transfer portal. He previously played for Ohio State and Cincinnati.
Smith spent one year, the 2023 season, with Western Kentucky. He played in four games, making 10 receptions for 118 yards and a touchdown. In the process, he also helped Western Kentucky to 8-5 and win the Famous Toastery Bowl.
He started his career at Ohio State, where he redshirted in one season. After that, he moved on to Cincinnati where he spent four seasons. That included multiple conference championships and a trip to the College Football Playoff. For his career, Smith has 17 receptions for 199 yards and a touchdown.
Blue Smith played high school football at Wayne (OH), where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 102 overall recruit in the 2018 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
The next team that Blue Smith plays for will be his fourth and it will be his seventh season of college football.
