Former Texas Tech wide receiver Loic Fouonji has committed to Vanderbilt, he announced via X on Saturday evening. Head coach Clark Lea has hit the NCAA transfer portal hard this offseason, with Fouonji being the latest addition.

“Thankful for the support and guidance from everyone on my journey, especially God’s guidance,” Fouonki said in his announcement. “Grateful for my time at Texas Tech and excited to embark on my next adventure at @VandyFootball !! #AnchorDown

In 13 games this season with the Red Raiders, Fouonji caught six passes for a total of 85 yards. Two of them were touchdowns, coming against Houston and then the bowl game against Cal. Fouonji was able to end his career in Lubbock on a high note but will now test the SEC waters.

Fouonji played high school football at Midland (TX) Lee, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 316 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
