Wisconsin EDGE Darian Varner commits to Cincinnati

Wisconsin EDGE Darian Varner has committed to Cincinnati, he announced on social media.

A former Temple transfer, he earned AAC-first team honors in 2022. In his one year at Wisconsin, he played in 11 games with five total tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss.

As a sophomore at Temple in 2022, he was a team captain and finished the season tied for 16th in the nation with .75 sacks per game. His 7.5 total sacks and 12.5 tackles for loss were second most on the team.

The 6-foot-3, 275-pound pass rusher didn’t participate in spring drills this past year. He spent much of this past season getting back to full strength.
