Former Wisconsin quarterback Nick Evers is visiting UConn as he seeks a new home out of the NCAA transfer portal.

Evers will be on his third program when he picks a new school to attend, having suited up for Wisconsin and Oklahoma over the past two years. He’s had a tumultuous journey, one that started during his recruiting process.

The talented former four-star and top-150 prospect initially committed to Florida. However, following the firing of coach Dan Mullen and the hiring of Billy Napier he opted to look elsewhere.

He then committed to Oklahoma, where he spent the 2022 season.

Evers redshirted in 2022 after playing in just one game, attempting only one pass. He then transferred to Wisconsin, where he saw no game action during the 2023 season.

Despite the bouncing around, Evers still has a considerable amount of talent.

Prior to enrolling at Oklahoma, Nick Evers was rated as a four-star prospect and the No. 129 overall prospect in the 2022 recruiting class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.

He also checked in as the No. 8 quarterback in his class and the No. 21 overall player from the state of Texas, hailing from Flower Mound (TX) Flower Mound.

Wisconsin linebacker enters NCAA transfer portal

Evers isn’t the only Wisconsin player who has entered the transfer portal in recent days. Linebacker TJ Bollers has also entered his name into the transfer portal.

Bollers spent the past three seasons with the Badgers after redshirting his first and lettering the past two. During those trio of years, Bollers appeared in 16 games with most of those taking place in 2022.

Bollers appeared mostly on special teams during his time in Madison. Still, in ’22, he saw action as a reserve. In total, he posted a pair of tackles in their season-opening win against Illinois State.
