Yale Bulldogs wide receiver David Pantelis has entered the Transfer Portal following the end of the 2024 regular season.

In four seasons with Yale, David Pantelis has 127 career receptions 1,778 career receiving yards, and 17 career touchdowns. That’s an average of 14 yards per reception. He also averaged 52.3 yards per game. On the ground, he has 32 rushing yards and a touchdown in his career.

2024, which was David Pantelis’ fourth season at Yale, he had by far the most productive individual season of his college career. He finished with 69 receptions for 1,018 yards and 11 touchdowns in 11 games. That’s 92.5 receiving yards per game.

Notably, David Pantelis missed the majority of the 2023 season with injury. Had that not happened, he likely would have had another highly productive season for the Bulldogs.

In his final game at Yale, David Pantelis played a massive role in upsetting rival Harvard. He finished the game with seven receptions for 148 yards to lead the Bulldogs in both receptions and receiving yards. That helped the Bulldogs jump out to an early lead, which they held onto despite a late push by Harvard to win 34-29.

That loss prevented Harvard from winning the Ivy League outright. Instead, the Crimson will need to split the title with Dartmouth and Columbia. For their part, Yale finished fourth, one game out of the three-way tie for first. There is no championship game in the Ivy League and their teams do not participate in the FCS playoffs. So, immense value is put on winning the conference or preventing a rival from doing so.

David Pantelis is listed at 5 feet and 11 inches tall. He’s also listed at 200 lbs. A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, it will be interesting to see which school is looking for an experienced option at wide receiver.

More about the Transfer Portal

The NCAA Transfer Portal is the method by which players move from one school to another. It’s also one that has seen its windows to enter shorten recently.

There are two portal windows. That includes one following the regular season and another in the Spring, following Spring practice. The Fall window is the larger of the two windows, though it has been reduced from 45 days to 30 days. The Spring window is only 10 days.

The Transfer Portal also opens up when a head coach leaves a program, whether that be due to retirement, taking a new position, or firing.
