ALLIANCE. o_O

Didn't we "bond" with the Pac12 and ACC a few years ago and then immediately demolish the Pac12? With friends like that, who needs enemies!

OK, why isn't this the responsibility of the NCAA? Why are they not part of these meetings? The B1G and SEC now dominate college football, is this a football thing?

Personally, I think this is the end of the NCAA as we know it.

WHO are they advising?????

certainly not the NCAA. It looks like they will be TELLING the NCAA. Probably an ultimatum.
How would they overcome the same issues the NCAA seems to face when trying to even apply the simplest level of enforcement to any rules? I appears that any attempt to enforce a common agenda is challenged as an anti-trust issue. Unless perhaps only include SEC and BIG so that the other conferences are not part of this, which would then get past the anti-trust attacks. It is not anti-trust if there are plenty of other leagues to join.

here is your answer. According to McCann, probably the nation's leading sports law attorney, the biggest sports law story ever. The National Labor Relations Board is recognizing Dartmouth basketball players as "employees" and no longer student-athletes. That means all of the labor laws come in. I think the SEC and B1G knew this was coming and are preparing to create a nationwide football conference. The players will unionize and there will be negotiations for a Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Game over.
