See the link below. From the article:

“Colorado coach Deion Sanders on Tuesday called on the NCAA or the Rose Bowl to reimburse his players who were robbed of jewelry, cash and other items from their locker room during last week's 28-16 loss at UCLA.

Bruins officials confirmed Monday that the athletic department had filed a report with the Pasadena Police Department regarding items that were reportedly stolen from the Buffaloes' locker room.

"Our kids got robbed during the game last week. I think that's a travesty," Sanders told reporters during a news conference in Boulder, Colorado. "I would like expect the NCAA to do something about that.

"This is the Rose Bowl. They said the granddaddy of 'em all, right? I'm sure granddaddy had some money. Grandpa should have some money to give these kids."”

Pay up, grandpa. 😁

I’ve never had any jewelry stolen. Then again, my existence didn’t depend on having any.

What happened to the notion life sucks sometimes and bad **** happens.

Why should the venue reimburse anything. Prime Time should be 'educatin' his young boys about the world and wearing your fancy jewelry makes you a target like it or not

Get your NIL donors to pay up see how that flies

Doesn’t the stadium have security guarding locker rooms? Where were they?

Also, wouldn‘t valuables be locked up? Did these kids leave their valuable items out in the open or in backpacks? Perhaps, as it would have to be a quick getaway, unless it was an inside job (security personnel; entirely possible).

Why would they need security guards for an empty lockeroom? Don't the doors just lock?

Didnt this also happen when Prime Time was at Jackson State? Seems to me ...... fool me once ....... or is it I will take this traveling road show wherever I go

One might not expect college football players to be loaded with bling, but I would expect security around the locker rooms. Some of these players are famous, and you have thousands of people in the stadium. OBVIOUSLY. o_O fans can’t just walk up to the locker room door. So, how did someone (or more than one person) get in the Colorado locker room in the first place, let alone walk off with valuables?

Based on the staff that we've used to guard the away locker room, it's not exactly shocking that this could happen if other teams have the same level of security...and there really isn't anywhere to lock things up unless you're bringing along a safe.

Lots of locker rooms would have mini-safes, one in or above each locker.
Now that you mention it, I think the visiting locker room at Beaver Stadium does have a spot above each locker where someone could bring a padlock to lock up stuff (it's pretty small, but would work for jewelry).

Coach Prime has a point about UCLA’s responsibility, but is off base regarding the Rose Bowl’s or the NCAA’s responsibility.
Why would it not potentially be the Rose Bowl's responsibility...I'd think the stadium has a reasonable level of culpability here for not securing a team's locker room during a game.

Prime was referencing the Rose Bowl as the granddaddy of the bowls and as such they thus had the money to get square with CU’s players. I agree with you the stadium certainly has responsibility, I just did not agree with Prime’s take on the history of post-season play having any standing in this event. That’s all…..

I don't see the point in criticizing the players for wearing jewelry. I think that any team has a reasonable expectation that their belongings, whatever they may be, will be safe in the locker room during a game. I don't know who is responsible for providing security, but someone should be.

Does Coach Prime have the receipts to prove the value of the stolen items?
