See the link below. From the article:

”The University of Michigan has agreed to a $490 million settlement with hundreds of people who say they were sexually assaulted by a former sports doctor at the school, those involved in the agreement said Wednesday.

Attorney Parker Stinar said that 1,050 people will share in the settlement, which was reached the night before.

University spokesman Rick Fitzgerald confirmed the settlement and said a statement would be released later Wednesday.

"I am proud to announce that a settlement was reached with the 1,050 survivors of Robert Anderson and the University of Michigan," Stinar said. "It has been a long and challenging journey, and I believe this settlement will provide justice and healing for the many brave men and women who refused to be silenced."

The university had been in mediation to resolve multiple lawsuits by mostly men who said Anderson sexually abused them during routine medical examinations. Anderson worked at the university from 1966 until his 2003 retirement and was director of the university's Health Service and a physician for multiple athletic teams, including football.”

Please take this opportunity to remember that Penn State has a culture problem.

490,000,000 / 1050 = 466,666.6666666667 each victim

I see the WP has a story on it that takes up most of page 3 of the news section, though Sally Jenkins has not weighed in with her usual fault-finding on the sports pages and I suspect will not. Nor is Bo’s prior knowledge explicitly mentioned.

In retrospect, MSU's scandal is possibly the worst. Young gymnasts for 20 years being abused and MSU had an idea that pervert was up to something? While at PSU, we had people paid off quickly and the perp wasn't employed by the university when the offenses occurred.

What proof is there Bo knew?

Alleged perp, alleged offenses.

At PSU, yes. At um, decades of real harm covered up is not nonsense.
The concept of an old frumpy doctor "abusing" college athletes is absurd in general.

And I guess I just don't understand how a monetary hand out does anything to help these traumatized "victims". I'm going to go out on a limb and say that if the settlement was that each victim could go to therapy to talk about their abuse for free (on Michigan's dime) instead of a cash payout, the # of victims would be far less.

Truthfinder?
I think OJ has devoted more time and energy to finding truth than you

Speaking of OJ, hasn’t it been proven in the court of law that he didn’t murder NBS and RG?
He was found guilty in a civil court. Why do you want to compare PSU with OJ?

Too bad I can’t say the same thing about you, Michigan Man.
He is the WackNole character from the old McAndrews Board. He said over there that he never posted anything because Tom McAndrews would censor and delete whatever he posted. His handle here makes you want to think he is seeking the truth. He wouldn't know truth if it bit him on the nose.

No. The jury decided that they couldn’t decide beyond a reasonable doubt that he killed them. He did lose the civil trial, though.
