Brian Ferentz was fired for a bad offense, but wow, they are actually worse now than when we played them.....

UCLA dominating SoCal. Danton Lynn (former PSU DB) is UCLA's DC. Has built a strong defense.
USC is a dumpster fire. Gonna be 7-5 after this loss.

Who still wants Lincoln Riley? The guy has possibly the #1 overall draft pick leading his offense and they will probably be a 5 loss team.

I’d give him (and anyone) five years.
And you’d pay a crazy amount of money for him to maybe lose 5 games and have this whole board turn on him?
USC was ranked as high as #5 and then lost 5 of their last 6 to end the season with a thud. If that scenario happened here, you and several others on this board would drive to Franklin’s house and pack his belongings for him. But, when Riley does it, you want him?

I am watching Oregon State for the first time this year. They just drove the ball down the field against Washington like a hot knife through butter. It’s early, but I like the style of play and playcalling from the Beavers.

The way contracts are structured you’re going to pay anyway - I’d go five year deals for any new hire. I soured on Franklin in the Citrus Bowl 2019. I would not have renewed his contract that would have ended in 2022 (that he signed in 2017) but would have let him finish it. I would not have given him a 10 year deal in 2021. Riley has had two years at USC; anyone wanting him gone now is foolish. Same for Franklin after two at Penn State. Franklin more than earned his extension in 2017 - the 2021 one not so much (and that was the year with all the USC rumors). Well played James.

Arizona was 1-11 in 2021. They will most likely finish 9-3. Fisch is a heckuva coach.

No surprise he found it easier to outfox Sandy and the PSU admins than Urban Meyer, Ryan Day and Jim Harbaugh.
