I really don’t know what to take from today’s OSU-UM game. That first interception was brutally bad and brutally costly. My take is that the better team won. If it were up to me, OSU would miss CFP.

Odd response, but ok. That defense we had usually doesn’t rise to the level we see at PSU. Particularly without that Maybin type pass rusher. Other schools can say what they want about their own talent this year and maybe they are right, but I’ve seen enough in the BIG to know that guys like Barkley, stroud and Harrison are rare. So was our defense this year. To CJF’s credit, he recruited the secondary well because we usually stink back there. Somehow, that interior line and our razor thin depth chart at LB held up and played well. A guy like Harrison or Barkley can take over a game on offense. The defense needs 11 guys. That’s extremely difficult to pull off; even more impressive is the fact that these aren’t Manny’s guys and he’s hasn’t had four years with any of them. So, yeah it was wasted this year. Don’t take my word for it, go watch the replays.
