Williams talked of putting on a show and being entertaining out there last year. At times he was, but often we shook our heads and thought wtf was that effort? He was 8-7 with a 3-7 dual record. Tough all around to decipher with him.

Not sure if it was mentioned, but Coleman Scott was in Jordan's corner when he wrestled Caleb Henson. It looked like he had a few different people in his corner all weekend so not sure that means anything or not. I did not see any Iowa staff in his corner.
If the other option is the JW of ‘25-‘26…good.
For what it’s worth, Pyles said on FRL today that he thinks JW wants to stay at Iowa. He said he didn’t know if Iowa was open to it. We shall see.

Ech came to IC as he entered the portal, well before Drake informed Tom he was leaving. So, I think you're riding the horse backward. And, Drake spoke to a few guys prior to leaving about transferring to ISU. Only Peterson entered the portal.
Is the above in the Iowa handbook? It certainly is in ISU's.
Chris Perry may, quite possibly be the slimiest dirtbag involved with collegiate wrestling today, even while including Kevin Dresser.

Drake is/was trying to poach and take people with him? Is there bad blood?
I’m honestly surprised. From the outside looking in, it seemed like Drake and TNT had a great relationship. I’m surprised he would try to take other wrestlers on the roster with him to ISU. I don’t remember Kemerer, Murin, Cass or other recents Iowa graduates doing this.
I'm waiting on the edge of my seat for VV vs Estrada in wrestle off at SS. I'm taking VV by a 2-1 nail biter cause he got fight.
I mean, that's the job, unfortunately. I don't hold that against him.
Sadly, more often than not, $ comes before true loyalty nowadays…. Especially when parents are way more involved with the “business” than they should be.
Once he is gone from the University of Iowa his new and only real loyalty is to who is signing the front of his check. He'll be on the street soon if he doesn't see it that way. Especially if he appears to be subordinate in any way to TNT. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
Correct and the person signing the check Pollard has only one goal for the program: beat Iowa and that is all the general fan base cares about. This year was a huge success for them. Other results don’t matter for them.

Yes. And one side gave every opportunity possible for it to be amicable. We got stabbed square in the back and knew it was happening and still tried to give grace,but other party/parties chose to continue to be immature and dishonest.

I agree - there are rules and then there are the assumption of etiquette rules. Enticing others to leave before you have left yourself is inappropriate. I would like to think it is the ignorance of youth on how things should be done. And yet there will be many who would blame TNT for having an issue with it.

Sounds super unfortunate. Not surprising though as the situation seemed ripe for a blowup.

3. Dresser was a good friend, coach, and cornerman to me. I don't really care if people badmouth him--I get it. But I'm gonna stick my hand up every now and then and defend him here, because he's a good guy.

Why are so many people discounting Estrada. He was a true Freshman and stepped up and showed a lot of fight. Redshirted this last year, but I would assume with another year and a half in the program he will be even better. I would prefer Block to move up to 57 and Estrada at 149.
I am all aboard #1 if they figure it out.
Re: #2 I don’t think Drake is evil one bit. Just a situation where someone brand new to coaching might have gotten too excited. If he was unsuccessful then I think it can be water under the bridge someday. If he was successful, well it’s going to be a ugly too.
#3 Dresser is a guy you like when he’s on your side. When he’s not, well I am sure you can imagine.
