I don't know. We threw for 2300 yards and ran for 1200 in '88, including 15 passing TDs and 18 INTs.
That 1988 team was at least country strong and tough. They would hit. Having no speed on defense was a killer, however. I think 1988 wins 35-24 over 2024.

The 1988 team also played only 4 home games, played no FCS teams, and played a 10-2 USM team in the nonconference, as well as a 6-5 Memphis State team that played 5 SEC teams (beating 3 of them - us, Vandy, and UF), and also played Louisville. Every single team on that schedule would have boat-raced UMass and EKU.
