It centers around the Blindside and some side stories involving the movie... one of which being OC Brown labeled as the next Michael Oher.

I think we're trying to get OC Brown away from Southern Miss.

Many schools are still after Brown. He is rock solid to USM. The 20/20 story was well done. He is an impressive young man.

That is, until signing day arrives and they have nothing from the SEC schools. Not hatin', just sayin'.

Not hatin either, but the Newton commitment to Auburn pretty much proves MSU is in the same boat then.

Why on earth would he go to USM if he is suppose to be that good with a lot of people still after him. If I had the chance to play in a BCS conference, I wouldn't be dumb enough to pass it up. Maybe that's just me.

Between visiting another SEC school and deciding that is where you want to play and deciding to spend your career in conference USA in a dinky stadium with no TV coverage. Be real for once, every game on TV with a team that sold out the stadium 4 times in a 5-7 year versus USM. It's not even a choice. If he turns down ANY SEC offer to stay at USM he's just throwing away money he could get at the next level.

ETA - Pus, it's nice having a degree that is worth something.

Anyone saying so is simply fudging or going off bad info. Excellent upside for O.C. but it's still very, very uncertain whether he'll be allowed to play D1 FCS next year. Hope he does. Hard worker and very dedicated. If everything were done academically at this point he'd have a few more suitors though he's not in Oher's class.

this morning... I realized I might've said something confusing. When I stated the OC Brown was being labeled as the next Michael Oher... I meant that he was being labeled because of his life story... not because of his football playing ability. Although OC is a very solid football player, Michael Oher was/is much more talented.

Sure we take some from USM but Bolden was taken from us (dont sell that "he didn't have the grades BS"). Right now we can't sell crack to a crack addict...so I doubt we will get OC Brown from USM.

decent feet, but his strength is very sub par. Also, the coach who's house he is staying does not own 150 Taco Bells like Tuohy so he OC not able to receive 24 hour academic assistance to acheive a 2.0 gpa.
